Wednesday Working Party
Clubman of the Season
Previous Recipients
On this page we celebrate the club's unsung heros and heroines, who's work may be unseen but is not unrecognised nor unappreciated.
The Wednesday Working Party is a group of volunteers who conduct the routine and not so routine maintainance of the clubhouse. Headed by Chairman of the Governance Committee Roger Chamberlain, the working party can be found most, if not all Wednesday mornings in and around the clubhouse.
Leading stalwarts of the group are Bill Macbeth, Brian Divers, Geoff Dagg, Brian Holland and Ron Campbell. Others who have helped with specific tasks include David Hughes, Alan Forfar, Steve Pallastenger and Ron Campbell and as always there are others who give what time they can, when they can.
These pictures are intend to highlight their work, so that club members can be more appreciative next time they are at the bar.

The Boiler Room This is an area of the club that most club members probably do not even know where it is. But it should be close to every player's hearts as this is where the warm water for the showers comes from.
Here you see Roger Chamberlain and Geoff Dagg checking when the next shower valve needs replacing
The large red item in the foreground is a shower valve. It serves 6 shower heads and costs roughly £1500 |
