News
20 July 2010: The Under 10's finished off their Tuesday evening training sessions with another visit from Claire Purdy, England player, to give us some more top training tips. In a short break in her training for the Women's Rugby World Cup, Claire spent an evening with the Under 10's showing them new drills that are used by the World Cup squad. A lot was learnt and Claire has left us with even more drills to practice that we didn't have time to do in the evening. Everyone had a great time with some good laughs along the way. Thank you very much Claire.
The Women's Rugby World Cup starts on 20 August 2010 in Guildford, where England have a real chance of winning. We wish Claire and the rest of the team the best of luck and look forward to maybe another training session with a World Cup Champion in the new season.
Camberley U10s meet for training every Sunday (10am-midday) Sept-Apr and on Tuesday evenings (6.30pm-7.30pm). Training is at Camberley Rugby club at Watchetts Recreation ground.
Tuesday evening training finishes on 20 July 2010 until September
If you (or your child) will be 10 years old (year 5 at school) between September 2010 and August 2011 and would like to play rugby we would be delighted for you to join us. Our aim is to play rugby and to enjoy ourselves. This is our 2nd year of contact rugby. We have already welcomed new players who have not played rugby before over the summer and are always pleased to have new players join with or without prior experience. As part of our squad development, we play friendlies with other teams both home and away and attend competitive festivals in addition to our training sessions at home. With contact rugby, gum shields are required for every training session for the players own protection. We include all players and every one of our players had the opportunity to play in a festival during last season.
If you would like more information or have any questions please contact our Head Coach or Squad Manager.
